Opinion Edge works like most survey websites where you sign up, take surveys, and earn money.

Below, I’ll cover how the site works in a little more detail.

Step one: Sign up

The first step is to sign up for the site, which you can do here. Opinion Edge also has an app available, which you can get for iOS devices and Android devices.

Step two: Take surveys

Once you are signed up for the site, you’ll be able to start taking surveys. To view available surveys, log in to the member dashboard and click on the My Surveys link.

For each survey, it will tell you the reward that you can earn and the time that the survey is expected to take.

Choose a survey that you want to answer, and then click it. Then, you’ll be given a set of qualifying questions so that Opinion Edge can determine whether you fit the target demographic for the survey.

If you qualify, you’ll get to complete the survey, and if you fail to qualify, then you will have to try another available survey. You will still receive a small reward of around 2 to 10 points if you get disqualified, though.

When you complete a survey, you’ll earn points, which you can redeem for rewards.

Step three: Get paid

You can redeem your points for rewards including cash via PayPal and Tango gift cards.

Tango gift cards can be redeemed for a variety of rewards. The Tango reward catalog is filled with more than 1,000 digital gift cards, prepaid cards, like VISA and MasterCard, and charitable donations.

This includes gift cards to retailers like:

  • Nike
  • Best Buy
  • Domino’s Pizza
  • DoorDash
  • Adidas
  • Nordstrom
  • Burger King
  • Target
  • Starbucks
  • Amazon

How Much Can You Make on Opinion Edge?

The amount of money that you can make on Opinion Edge depends on how many surveys you take and how much you get paid for each one. Obviously, the more surveys you take, the more you will earn.

Pay varies from survey to survey, depending on the length of the surveys with shorter surveys paying less and longer surveys paying more. You’ll earn points for each survey that you complete.

100 points are worth $1.

You’ll earn 50 to 200 points for surveys that range from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.

So, that’s $0.50 to $2 per survey.

Is Opinion Edge Legit?

Opinion Edge is not an outright scam, but it’s not particularly well-rated by users who complain that they are disqualified from many surveys and paid less than they expected to be.

Opinion Edge has 3.1 stars on the Google Play store and 2.3 stars on the App Store, which is average to poor.

One user on the Google Play store complained about Opinion Edge, saying:

  • “Would be zero stars, but it’s the lowest I could put to comment. I had to restart 3 different surveys for no reason at all. Took like 30 minutes in total to get nowhere. The last straw for me was that a video they wanted me to answer questions about wouldn’t load so, I hit back on my phone and…boom! Survey was gone along with another 15 minutes wasted. So, I made nothing. Zero points! Zero dollars! Only thing good about this app is deleting my account and then deleting the app. Goodbye.”

Another user also complains about Opinion Edge, stating:

  • “Terrible terrible terrible. I did not receive my sign on bonus. Also when doing surveys it allows you to take the entire survey then tells you to submit. After submitting it says nope not what we are looking for gives you like 4 points instead of 200. Scam a big fake”

Yet another user complains about the app saying:

  • “I was excited at first but several hours later & I’ve only been able to complete 2 surveys out of the 20 that I tried. Seems I’m not eligible for hardly any of these surveys. App drained my phone battery too.”

A user does praise Opinion Edge, saying:

  • “Very fun and easy I would recommend”

Opinion Edge Pros & Cons

In this section, I just want to cover some pros and cons of Opinion Edge so that you can decide whether or not this survey app is for you.

Pros

Here are the pros of Opinion Edge:

  • It gives you a reward even if you don’t qualify for a survey. It’s a small reward, but you’re still getting some points at least.
  • PayPal payments available.
  • Tango gift cards available, which can be redeemed for prepaid cards, and gift cards for a plethora of retailers.

Cons

Here are the cons of Opinion Edge:

  • Some surveys don’t pay particularly well.
  • Its ratings are average on the Google Play store, and poor on the App Store. Many users complain that they don’t qualify for many surveys, and that they often waste time answering questions before they’re told that they don’t qualify for a survey.

Opinion Edge Review: Overall Verdict

Opinion Edge is not a scam, but it’s also not the best survey site out there either. Many users complain that they don’t qualify for surveys and some users say that they waste their time answering questions before they are told that they don’t qualify.

It is quite common to not qualify for every survey on a single site. After all, surveys are aimed at certain demographics, and you might not always fit the demographic for a particular survey. However, it seems there are lots of users reporting high instances of being disqualified.

Give it a try, but be sure to use Opinion Edge alongside other sites and don’t waste too much time on there if you find that you’re being disqualified from a lot of the surveys on there. In that case, it may be worth using other survey sites instead.

Hopefully, this Opinion Edge review helped you to decide whether or not you want to use the site.
