Final Destination: Bloodlines — the sixth entry in the 25-year-old horror franchise — has added a lot of young blood to the cast. Joining franchise veteran Tony Todd (pictured, center) in the sequel directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein are Brec Bassinger (pictured, left), Richard Harmon (pictured, right), Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Anna Lore, and Owen Joyner.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Plot details are being kept under lock and key, but a single core concept has driven the series: A character has a premonition of a horrific and deadly event, cheats his or her own death, and saves several other lives in the process, only to have Death, personified as an invisible but unstoppable force, come for the survivors one by one.”

In an interview with Fangoria, franchise creator Jeffrey Reddick said that Final Destination: Bloodlines will shake up the formula a bit. “I will say that it’s not just going to be another kind of ‘we set up a group of people, they cheat death, and then just death gets them,’” said Reddick. “And there’s one wrinkle that we kind of added to every movie to kind of like change it up a little bit: this one is a true Final Destination movie, but it doesn’t follow that kind of formula that we’ve kind of established. I think I can say that much.”

The premiere of Final Destination: Bloodlines is timed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of 2000’s Final Destination. The latter stars Ali Larter, Devon Sawa, Kerr Smith (pictured, left to right), and Tony Todd. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Final Destination and its four sequels have made almost $700 million worldwide. The most recent entry in the franchise, Final Destination 5, premiered way back in 2011.

Tony Todd — who plays Bludworth Funeral Homes owner William Bludworth in several Final Destination films and is perhaps best known for playing the titular boogeyman in Candyman –will reportedly reprise his role as William Bludworth in Final Destination: Bloodlines. As for the younger cast additions, you may recognize Brec Bassinger from Stargirl, Teo Briones from Chucky, Kaitlyn Santa Juana from The Flash, Richard Harmon from The 100, Anna Lore from Gotham Knights, and Owen Joyner from Julie and the Phantoms.

Final Destination: Bloodlines will land in theaters sometime in 2025 for the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
