Swagbucks is an awesome site that’ll pay you for doing all sorts of tasks, like watching TV, playing games, taking surveys, and shopping online.

While Swagbucks is a well-known reward website that you may already use, you may be wanting to add in another money-making site to your list. One to consider is Dabbl.

In this Dabbl app review, I’ll cover how the app works, the pros and cons of it, and whether it’s worth your time.

What is Dabbl?

Dabbl is a money making app that pays you to do a variety of tasks from taking surveys to watching videos.

You’ll earn points for completing these tasks that you can exchange for gift cards.

How Does Dabbl Work?

So, how exactly does making money with the app work? Below, I’ll cover how Dabbl works a little more in-depth.

How to sign up for Dabbl

While the company has an official website (found at https://getdabbl.com), there is no way to sign up from the website.

To sign up, you can download the app and then register.

Here’s where you can get the app:

  • Download Dabbl for iOS devices here.
  • Download Dabbl for Android devices here.

It’s pretty easy to register. You just start with your phone number and age.

To use the Dabbl app, you need to be at least 13 years old and provide a valid US based mobile phone number during account registration.

When you first download and open the app, you’ll be asked to provide and verify your mobile phone number. The app does this for security purposes and to authenticate your account.

If you want your digital gift cards to be delivered, you’ll also need to provide your first name, last name, and email address.

According to Dabbl, it keeps your information secure and private, and it doesn’t share your information with any third parties.

Ways to Make Money with Dabbl

Once you’ve downloaded the app and registered, you can start making money.

Now, before I cover the ways you can make money with the Dabbl app, I want to make an important note.

While sites like Swagbucks and SurveyJunkie (review) always have surveys and all of the other ways to earn available to you when you sign in, Dabbl doesn’t.

This means that each time you open up the Dabbl app, it doesn’t mean that you’ll have all of these ways to earn available to you.

For example, you may have videos available to watch, but no surveys available.

Dabbl only shows a few options at a time. So the total amount of points available to earn each time you enter the app will vary from week to week.

Also, the pay per task also varies so I can’t give you a definitive number on what you’ll earn when you open up the app.

Now that’s out of the way, here’s how you can make money with Dabbl.

Take short surveys

Dabbl allows you to make money by taking surveys. These are usually short, consisting of just three to six questions in many cases. The pay per survey varies, as it does with all of the tasks on Dabbl as I mentioned above.

I’ve seen surveys ranging in pay from $0.02 to $0.55

Complete offers

You can also complete offer wall tasks to make money with Dabbl. This could be signing up for a service for example, or downloading an app. You can earn a few cents usually for doing these tasks.

There are also savings available, like get 75% off wellness products for example.

So if you’re looking to save money on the stuff you buy, Dabbl may be able to help you out.

Watch videos

You can also earn points when you watch quick videos. These are usually only 30 seconds or even less than that. They pay you about $0.01 for watching, so about 10 points.

Sometimes, you’ll need to answer a multiple choice question afterward.

Refer friends

You can earn $2, so 2,000 points, for each friend that signs up to Dabbl and earns 1,000 points.

Redeem Your Points for Gift Cards

As you make money in the app, your earnings are tracked and displayed at the top of your main Dabbl feed. You can also view your earnings in your profile information on the Earnings screen. You can view the Earnings screen by tapping on the earnings meter, which can be found at the top of the Dabbl Feed screen.

When your account reaches $5, you can cash out your earnings for a gift card that’s immediately sent to your email address.

5,000 points is worth $5.

There are lots of different gift card options available, such as:

  • Amazon
  • Walmart
  • Target
  • Starbucks
  • Disney
  • Ulta
  • Best Buy
  • Spotify
  • TJ Maxx
  • Lowes

  • Bed, Bath & Beyond

You can view all of the gift card options by tapping “View Available Cards” on the Earnings screen.

Is Dabbl Legit?

So is Dabbl a legit app?

It does seem to pay out, so in that sense, it is a legitimate app. But what do the app’s users have to say about it?

Let’s take a look at some user reviews from the Google play store, both good and bad before I give you my own pros and cons of the Dabbl app.

Positive Reviews

The Dabbl app has a 4-star rating and more than 1,500 reviews on the Google Play store, so it seems like it’s pretty well-reviewed.

Here are some of the positive things that users had to say about Dabbl:







  • “I love this app. I’ve made $40 in Disney gift cards for our next trip and am already close to another $20 card. I average about 500pts a day with surveys.”
  • “I earned $40 with this app in 2019 and I didn’t even use every day or even every other day, maybe 2x a week. Fun, short blurbs about products and services with puzzles, videos, and or multiple choice questions. now earn more watching ads, answering an opinion poll, taking surveys, and task walls. Plus exclusive discounts.”
  • “Loving it so far and the app makes it easier to earn points for gift cards compared to most survey apps and websites.”

Negative Reviews

Now, let’s take a look at what some of the negative reviews had to say:

  • “I’m sad because when I started this it had really great opportunities of earning alot of points. Now it takes forever and I have to watch three ads before I even get to do whatever it is that will earn me a handful of points.”
  • “I used to love this app but as of late, you now are forced to watch unpaid ads just to get to the short dabbl questions. They pay you way less than they used to and are forcing you to watch ads that THEY get paid for. I’m sorry but now I just feel like I am being used to creat revenue for them. If it doesn’t change, I’ll un install.”

There’s a similar sentiment on Reddit, with users saying the app used to be good, but now it doesn’t have many opportunities to earn, like this user who says:

  • “I quit it a few months ago. When I first downloaded it, I was earning a $5 card every now and then, not bad for a couple of minutes a day. Recently, though, it got to where there would be no surveys, no questionaires, no nothing to earn at all except watching videos. Got my last $5 card and dropped the app.”

Dabbl Pros & Cons

Let’s take a look at some pros and cons of using Dabbl.

Pros

I’ll start with the pros…

It’s quick and easy to use

The app is easy to use and the tasks on there are short and sweet, meaning if you don’t have much spare time, you can easily make money with Dabbl.

It offers some good discounts

Sometimes the app offers some good savings.

Good customer service

The customer service team seem quick to respond to customer inquiries and offer solutions to consumers in response to reviews on the Google Play Store.

Cons

Now, let’s take a look at some of the downsides to the app.

Limited earning options

Since earning options vary each time you open the app, there’s not always much there. This means that there’s often not many ways to earn available.

As I mentioned above, a few people mentioned how the site has recently had fewer ways to earn available.

To be fair, Dabbl did respond to that second negative review above saying:

  • “With so many huge advertisers out of the market due to Coronavirus (travel, entertainment, restaurants, sports) the earning potential – both for our users and for us – has fallen dramatically. We’ve absorbed as much of that as we can in the meantime and expect a return to normal soon.”

So maybe the COVID-19 pandemic is the reason for the reduction in tasks available on Dabbl. Perhaps when things return to normal, the earning opportunities will also increase.

There’s no PayPal option available

One of the biggest downsides for me is that the site doesn’t have a PayPal option.

Sometimes, you want actual cash, rather than a gift card.

It does offer Amazon gift cards though, which is good because I like to shop on there often, as many of us do. But having that option for PayPal cash is always a good thing, and sadly, Dabbl doesn’t offer it.

Earnings have to be cashed out in small increments

Another qualm is that you have to withdraw your income in $5 increments. There are no larger denomination payouts available.

It seems slow to earn with

The fact that you only earn a few cents per task, coupled with the fact that there aren’t that many tasks available when you open the app, means that getting to that $5 threshold can be time-consuming.

Is Dabbl Worth It? (And some sites like Dabbl)

Dabbl is a legit app that pays out. However, it doesn’t give you many chances to earn and the amount you’re paid per task isn’t that high either.

If you don’t have much time, so like quick tasks and don’t mind waiting to build up your earnings, you may want to give it a try.

Otherwise, I’d give these sites a try instead:

They have way more earning opportunities available. And many of them have PayPal as a redemption option.

Perhaps when the COVID-19 pandemic is over, Dabbl will again have more opportunities for earning.
