Google on what’s important for 2017
With 2017 being just around the corner, Google shared what is most important for the upcoming year. In 2017, Google will focus on machine learning, AMP and structured data. The core algorythm will not be taken over by machine learning though, which is pretty interesting since Google has been growing towards this for a while now.

Facebook has added more tools to strengthen their position as mobile solution for local businesses. From now on, consumers and business owners are enriched by tools such as booking and ordering for Pages, social recommendations and locale vent discovery. The most significant of the new tools is online food ordering and the ability to buy tickets and book appointments on Pages through “call to action” buttons.

Pinterest announces Pin Collective
Pinterest announced the launch of Pin Collective. What is it? Pin Collective is aimed at helping businesses connect with Pinterest’s top content creators: publishers, production shops and independent creators who understand how to best rock the Pinterest ecosystem. These power users of the service will work directly with brands to drive real results.

Twitter officially opens up Moments to everyone
Twitter is officially opening up Moments so that anyone can curate their own topic-based feed of tweets. A combination of social content curation service Storify, Facebook’s Canvas and Snapchat’s Live Stories, Moments could be poised to become the social network’s unique spin on Snapchat’s and Instagram’s Stories, if enough people use it, that is. This could possibly make Moments a big player in the content curation world.

Gmail will support embedded style and media queries, which is great news for email marketing. This will enhance the readability and responsiveness of the emails that are sent to Gmail accounts. This initiatives will save the email marketeer a lot of time, while – hopefully – creating more effective campaigns.

This fits with the entire theme of Pre-Suasion, which is to create a favorable state of mind just before the actual persuasion effort occurs.
