12:19 PM PT — We’re told Robert was actually in a West Virginia hospital before he was transferred to a specialty hospital in Pennsylvania, where he died. We’re told he’ll be cremated. His brother, Patrick, tells TMZ, “My brother was a fun-loving guy. He enjoyed people and he enjoyed life. He liked to have fun and make people laugh up until the very end. He will definitely be missed.”
Robert Garrison — the actor best known for playing Tommy in “The Karate Kid” and its sequel — has died … according to his family.
Garrison’s sister-in-law tells TMZ … he died Friday morning at a hospital in West Virginia. She says his passing wasn’t sudden — he had been in the hospital for over a month dealing with kidney and liver issues.
We’re told the family is currently working on funeral arrangements.
