Our lesson today was about natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, earthquakes, and hurricanes. We read about the Red Cross helping people during these disasters.
Unfortunately Hurricane Katrina caused much damage today in several states, but the students learned how volunteers can be helpful in these circumstances.
