Sharon Osbourne Says Surgical procedure Left a Dent in Her Face—and Suspects Her Surgeon Let Somebody Else End the Process

Sharon Osbourne says a botched cosmetic procedure left a dent in her face.

The television personality, 74, discussed the experience with her son Jack Osbourne and daughter-in-law Aree Gearhart on the October 15 episode of The Osbournes Podcast.

When Jack asked whether she had ever been frightened about going under the knife, she answered, “I have when I’ve woken up and seen the mistakes,” according to Page Six.

Sharon described cosmetic surgery as a gamble and accepted responsibility for choosing to have it.

Sharon Says Her Surgeon’s Injections Failed to Fix the Damage

Sharon traced the affected area from her upper lip toward her chin, recalling that the skin had turned black after the operation. Jack struggled to see the indentation she described, but she said she could still feel it.

She suspected the surgeon had taken a phone call and allowed someone else to continue the work. She did not identify the doctor or the procedure.

When she returned to complain, she said the surgeon gave her injections. She recalled asking what they contained and being reassured that his “special concoction” would help. It did not resolve the problem, she said.

Sharon also compared cosmetic surgeons to painters. As InStyle reported, she argued that excellent medical credentials could not compensate for a lack of artistic judgment.

An Actor’s Remark Made Her Question Her Appearance

Sharon recalled an encounter from before The Osbournes aired on MTV. A British crew had filmed a documentary in the family’s home, and a famous actor later approached her with a comment about her marriage.

According to Parade, she said he expressed surprise that Ozzy had married someone who looked like a “Fraulein.” Sharon understood it as an insult about her figure. She did not name the actor.

She remembered wanting to lash out physically but chose to ignore him. The remark nevertheless stayed with her, leaving her feeling she needed to change her appearance.

Sharon said people who felt comfortable with their looks might struggle to understand the insecurity of someone who disliked what they saw whenever they looked in a mirror.

Her October 2021 Facelift Required Corrective Work

Sharon previously described an October 2021 facelift that lasted five and a half hours and left her eyes uneven. In an April 2022 interview with The Sunday Times, covered by Us Weekly, she said Ozzy offered to pay for the work to be redone, regardless of the cost.

At that point, she also said her appearance was settling and that she liked the new look.

Revisiting the operation in a December 2023 interview with The Times, she called it her worst cosmetic-surgery decision. Her mouth had also been crooked, she said, and she had needed to wait for her face to heal before having corrective work.

In its coverage of that interview, Us Weekly reported that she cited vanity, ego and compliments about looking good for her age as reasons for pursuing the facelift. Her latest podcast account does not establish whether that operation caused the dent.

Sharon Calls Recovery ‘Brutal’ and Questions More Facial Surgery

Aree said she planned to have breast surgery. Sharon responded that she had undergone breast procedures several times herself.

Asked by Jack whether she was finished having work done on her face, Sharon replied, “Oh, Jack. Who am I doing it for now?”

She described recovery as brutal. As PEOPLE reported, she said she rarely showed her arms because the skin was wrinkled and marked.

“And then you’ve got a face that looks 50, and your body looks your age,” she said.
