“Hunger is scarier than death.”
He told me harrowing tales of his war-fighting youth… raiding Sudanese villages for food and sinking so low that he almost ate his best friend. He does not know his own birthday. And just like the movie, The Good Lie, in which he starred, he was lacking for luggage, and so he improvised. =)
