Writing has always been my second passion and it was something I wanted to do. But I just didn’t want to write something in Fiction, let’s say a romance fiction. I knew I wanted to write about my knowledge, skills and my experiences in life. And my book – Online Marketing HACKS is all about knowledge I’ve gained over the years and it covers pretty much my skills too.
After college, came the work phase. Work – Eat – Sleep was literally my routine. I used to look forward to weekends because weekends were meant for sleeping! Yeah, it’s strange, isn’t it? Even when you’re working you don’t get time to do something out of the box because by the end of the day, you’re way too exhausted. After working for a couple of clients all these years after graduation, I finally felt like listening to my heart that always pumped up for Entrepreneurship! Yes, it’s weird. But that’s how I decided to start my own Digital-Tech Enterprise and decided to take a leap of faith and started my own business. People believe entrepreneurs don’t have a fixed work schedule like traditional 9-5 employees. But, now I get it. Entrepreneurs don’t have a fixed work schedule, because they work pretty much everyday. Through out the day. Personally for me, there’s no weekend or even a Sunday. I work endlessly either with my team, attending conference calls, listening to the customers or even writing up great content for the coming weeks. Yes, it takes weeks of planning before execution of any plan.
6 months down, and I decided to start writing. I knew what I wanted to write about but I just didn’t have a proper scheduled time to do it, as I didn’t have time. In the first week of July 2019, I started writing about all the knowledge and skills that I’ve learnt over the years. I wanted to give something to the readers which would be useful for them and others too. I took some time off from work and dived into writing my book – Online Marketing HACKS. This time off, from business really helped me shape my idea and I knew in that moment, I wanted to share it with the world, everyone who’s learning, likes reading about business and wants to start their own businesses in near future.
I began with the prepping of my book – the chapters, the titles/subtitles, the subsets of the technology and the type of book I wanted. From the very next day, I started writing because I already had planned what I wanted to write and how I wanted to write. In the first week itself, I wrote over 80,000 words for my book. For the second week, I just edited some of the pieces and let go of some paragraphs that I thought weren’t necessary. By the end of second week, I designed my own book cover after trying about 19 different types of book covers. Although, there were many good options for the same on Amazon KDP, but I wanted to explore and give it a personal touch. By the end of third week of July 2019, I finished, edited and published my first book, Online Marketing HACKS.
