Home squads in the Big 10 have absolutely predominated this year in league play. More than just about any other major conference, home-court advantage has been gigantic this season in the Big 10. On the year, home teams have won roughly 75% of the games, and if you pull out the residence loss by Nebraska and Northwestern, the two non-competitive crews in the organization, that digits films up to over 83%.

The trend of Big 10 home units dominating continued yesterday as the home squads prevailed three out of the four recreations, we just picked the mistaken recreation. The Boilermakers came out red-hot early on and coasted to an easy double-digit win. Purdue photographed 50% from three and got to the free-throw line twenty-four times.

The win can not be overstated for Purdue as ESPN chief Bracketologist Joe Lunardi had them as the final crew in the areas for the NCAA tournament leading into play yesterday. They had to find a way to pick up a quality win on the road and they got the job done.

The Wisconsin Badgers will look to continue their home court dominance today as they host the Ohio State Buckeyes in Big 10 activity. The Badgers are 4-1 at home in league play, and that includes a couple of huge signature prevails over Maryland and Michigan State. The Badgers currently pace out as an eight grain in the NCAA tournament, but with an overall record of merely 13 -1 0, they need to keep winning recreations against hard event, and they can ill afford any slipups at home.

For Ohio State, the Buckeyes spent the first half of organization dally certainly struggling as they started out only 2-6 in conference play. But they have picked it up recently as they have won three straight tournaments, including a big win over archrival Michigan on the road in their last-place recreation. While the Buckeyes are seemingly safely in the areas of sixty-eight at this extent, they would love to move up into one of the four largest seeds.

Ohio State Buckeyes

It is hard to tell just how good this Ohio State Buckeyes unit is this season. In the non-conference, they looked like a Final Four caliber team. They drummed Cincinnati, Villanova, Kentucky, and North Carolina, before Cole Antony got hurt. Their exclusively loss comes down to a West Virginia team that has invested most of the year in the top-2 5.

But in conference play, the Buckeyes actually fought out of the door. We all know just how good this league is, in my opinion, it is the best league in “the two countries “, and by a fairly wide boundary. But Ohio State wasn’t losing to the top half of the league, they were losing to the middle or bottom of the conference. They lost to Minnesota twice, a crew that is just 4-7 in league play against all teams not called Ohio State.

They lost to Indiana, another team that is below. 500 in conference play that is currently in twelfth locate in the league standings. And they lost to this Wisconsin team, at home no less, and the Badger don’t have a winning record in league play either. And even when you look at this recent three-game winning streak, the pummel Michigan who the hell is 10 th region, Northwestern who is in last sit, and Indiana, who is in 12 th place. Not as impressive as it firstly seemed from a glimpse to say the least.

Wisconsin Badgers

The Badgers haven’t been able to breakthrough away from home this year as they have really contended outside of Madison. They lost neutral site tournaments in the non-conference to St. Mary’s, Richmond, NC State, and New Mexico. And they have lost true road plays to Rutgers, Michigan State, Purdue, Iowa, and Minnesota. But all of those teams are strong, and of their ten loss, nine of those squads currently project to be dancing in March.

And at home, this squad has fucking awesome. Wisconsin is 10 -1 at home, and that includes two of very best earns of any team’s resume this year, with makes over Maryland and Michigan State. The one residence loss, came to Illinois, by one point at the buzzer, to an Illini team that has been in first place in the conference much of the season.

Who Do I Like?

Shocker, I like the dwelling squad in this one. These two teams accorded up in Columbus in early January, and the Badger thumped the Buckeyes on the road. And when you looked at at that activity, it wasn’t some fluky carry-on where Wisconsin got red-hot and drew off the shock. They shot simply 26% from three and 37% from the field. They won the game in the make-up, where they dragged down twelve offensive cards.

I see a same operation coming tonight. The Badgers are going to win or lose this play in the excavations. While Ohio State’s recent victory flash does scare me a little bit, I know it has come against the bottom of the league. And to be honest, I consider some hard times coming after Ohio State.

The Buckeyes have been very mediocre in Big 10 gambling this season, and they have yet to play many of the best teams in the organization. Ohio State has games left against Rutgers, Purdue, Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, and Michigan State. If they can’t find a way to win some of those recreations, they could get left out of the madness altogether.

This number has mostly remained stagnant, with a couple of works adjusting up to Wisconsin -1. 5, but the consensus is still at Badgers -1. I would expect some more action to come in on Wisconsin before the early morning tip, so make sure to lock this play in now, or you are going to be forced to lay more wood than you need to.
