
Mariah Carey‘s older brother, Morgan, is now suing the singer.
According to brand-new court documents, via Variety, Morgan is going after Mariah for libel and the intentional infliction of feelings distress as a consequence of her memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey.”
“[ Morgan] generates these recommendations more in affliction and calamity in his sister’s sellouts and malicious deceits than in temper at them, ” the suit reads. “He is by no means spiteful of his sister’s prodigious imaginative and personal success, enjoy access to his own achievers both professional and personal and has always cared her well.”
The lawsuit also registers some of the pieces that Morgan says are false.
As a decision, he claims he has “suffered extreme mental suffering, fury, severe feeling about his future and his ability to support himself and his family, harm to his reputation and his earning faculty, shame among his friends and identifies, dislocation of his personal life and loss of enjoyment of the ordinary solaces of everyday life.”
“I never felt safe. I never was safe. His rage was irregular; I never knew when it would come, or who or what it would down ,” Mariah wrote about Morgan in one instance in the book.
Morgan isn’t the only family member suing Mariah after the memoir’s release.
However, Morgan isn’t after money at all, and instead says he’s suing to untie injuries through “judicial determination.”
