Usually when I speak to prospective clients or I give presentations to people, the objection I usually hear them say is “But I Already Have a Website!”. My response is usually: “That’s a Good Thing! That means that you understand the importance of having a website.”
I usually begin to break down their objections, with a series of questions that helps them understand why having a website is not enough. In the end, all you have is just a website, a cute billboard that does nothing.
In order for a website to be successful, it needs three (3) things:
1. A Functional Web Design
2. Be Search Engine Optimized to rank well in the search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo, Bing)
3. Provide useful “Value Added” information to potential customers
Without these 3 things it will be very difficult for your site to be successful.
