Kevin Parker (vocals/guitar) and Dominic Simper (bass) shaped Tame Impala as thirteen-yr-olds in Perth in 1999, sticking to bed room recordings till 2007, when Jay Watson joined them on drums and backing vocals. Their sound was pure late ’60s, however wasn’t the sound of any particular band from the period. They have been as more likely to be channeling the Nazz because the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Cocooned away inside partitions of psychedelic fuzz in Western Australia they re-created their most popular interval one music at a time with assistance from gear and manufacturing methods that seemed like they hadn’t been dusted off since 1968.
