Both of those artists are revered by New Breeders everywhere in the world for his or her uncompromisingly robust Federal sides – nearly none of which have been legitimately digitised to date.
Produced in Chicago within the late Nineteen Fifties and early Nineteen Sixties by the good Sonny Thompson (Mr Lula Reed) and that includes the identical musicians who seem on all of Freddy King’s nice data of the interval, that is phenomenally thrilling music that has stood the check of time properly. As a bonus Freddy King seems in duet with Ms Reed on 4 of the tracks.
As an encapsulation of the Chicago black music scene within the years between rockin’ rhythm & blues and early soul, this assortment has few friends.
