Good Marketing Articles – Write For Human Eyes
If you want to use articles to get traffic to your blog or website, than you’ll have to learn how to write good marketing articles. Many people make the mistake of thinking that they have to hard sell the people who read their articles. They will write a 500 plus word article that doesn’t do anything but try to sell their product or service. This type of approach rarely works and if you use it your articles will rarely get read (and you won’t get any traffic at all).
A much better approach is to write something that people may actually enjoy reading. Give them something humorous, informative, or helpful (or better yet, all 3). That way you’ll be creating rapport and building trust with your readers. They’ll come to view you as a trusted expert and when you do make a recommendation for a certain product or service they will be much more likely to part with their hard earned cash since they trust and believe you. That’s the point. It comes down to a win/ win. You provide helpful information and they repay you by purchasing your product. Everyone is happy.
Another way to make sure you are only writing good marketing articles is to learn the proper way to find good keywords to include in your articles. As a general rule of thumb you want keywords that have at least 1,500 searches a month but no more than 20,000 competitors. Remember, this is a rule of thumb and different people will give you different numbers. Just start here and find out for yourself what the best ranges will be for your chosen niche.
Do not make the common newbie mistake of trying to target keyword phrases that have a ton of monthly searches but also a ton of competitors. If you do that the best ranking you can hope for for your article is on about page 73. That won’t get you any traffic. Much better to target a keyword that might not get as many monthly searches, still a decent amount though, but also has much less competition. That way you’ve got a real chance that your article will actually be high enough (page 1 anyone!) to actually be seen and read. That’s the only way it’ll do you any good.
When it comes time to submit your articles to article directories, don’t shoot yourself in the foot by ignoring the rules. If you do, your articles won’t be published and no matter how great they may be, no one will read them. Follow the rules and you’ll get perks from the directories.
Hey, it’s easy to use good marketing articles practices and really drive a lot of very qualified and targeted traffic right to your front door. If you decide that you know more than I do and you ignore this advice you will find that your online endeavors are a lot more difficult and you’ll probably give up since article marketing ‘doesn’t work’.
