Bored Panda spoke to Angelina from Parkland, Florida, who lived a shooting, to hear her recollects about the clothing brand’s insensitive hoodies. “My first thoughts when I visualize these hoodies was: “This must be a sick joke.” I firstly met a little article on Facebook with a hoodie that said Columbine on it and my center sank.”

“I researched this label on Instagram, and for sure I understood my school’s name. It’s exceedingly callous. I was harrowing but precisely infuriated at the fact that they are possibly making a profit from these. From a misfortune that thousands of us now have lifelong trauma, whether it’s a mass filming or daily shoot violence that happens in communities we don’t are talking about. It met me so sad that whatever this’ brand’ is could have the gut to do something like this without thinking about the victims and survivors. My friend did die in a hoodie and it hurts my heart.”

Angelina stated that what the fad brand did “eraged” her entire community in South Florida to the point that the comment she announced was in the news.

“I think that they should make them down, ” she said about the hoodie photos. “If they already made gain, send the money back to the communities who were adversely affected. Donate the money to the families of the victims. They required to directly apologize to the communities.”

“There are so many ways to portray the top they’re trying to stir, and they depicted it in “the worlds largest” callous practice probable. It’s disgusting and no one should defend their lack of judgment. I’ve had friends who reported their berths because it’s not something we as survivors, need to be seeing. It’s hard enough to see school shooting memes all over the internet, but for some’ brand’ to immediately put the names of the schools on hoodies with what is supposed to be bullet faults, is beyond disgusting and needs to be reported and taken down on the internet.’

Furthermore, Angelina shared her belief about what could be done to stop gun violence in the United Position. “The first step to stopping these mass shootings is restricting onslaught weapons for citizens to use. The artillery used throughout the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting was an AR-1 5. These handguns are made to kill.”

All countries need the red flag law, which is a gun control law that lets police or family members to petition a territory courtroom to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person who may present a danger to others or themselves, ” Angelina carried her feelings. “In what I knowledge, the crap-shooter was reported to the school and law enforcement many times. Yet no one did anything.”

“If we had the red flag law, the shooter’s guns would have been taken away from many reports of them being a threat way before the shooting ever existed. This is something that assists everyday gun savagery. So many parties fucking gun who shouldn’t. Who are either a threat to people around them or to themselves. I’m not the type of person to say, take away all artilleries. No. We have a 2nd revision for a rationalization. I just think you everyday citizen doesn’t need a military-grade weapon that was designed to kill in the fastest acces possible.”

Angelina also told Birthed Panda about a shooting that took place in her clas on February 14, 2018: “I did not want to go to school. It was Valentine’s Day and I knew I wouldn’t be coming anything from anyone. I woke up late and went into school sometime during my lunchtime. After that, I went to my AP government class where we were preparing for our research about Interest Groups. Specifically, likewise learning about the NRA.”

“I was told that the school had a fire drill early that morning. I invited my teacher to use the bathroom but it was getting close to the end of the school day and they usually don’t allow it 10 instants before the buzzer resounds. Now that I look back, I would have swept courses with the crap-shooter as they were running. The fire alarm went off and I grabbed my purses, then we all evacuated as we usually do for a fervor instruct. I was on the other side of campus, so we didn’t know or discover what was going on. As we expelled, I heard kids moving towards the americans and coaches telling us to run.”

“I didn’t know what was going on until my mama called me crying saying that there’s an active shooter. I was taken by surprise because I thought, how does my mommy who’s in the car line know that and not me? After we got off the phone, I gazed around and appreciated other kids on their telephones with loved ones telling them the same thing. I felt the crowd tense up and get frantic all at once.”

“We heard helicopters and received SWAT everywhere. We were ranging towards the Walmart down the street and we had to hold onto a chain-link fence, going one by one, so we wouldn’t fall into the canal next to us, ” Angelina continued the harrowing tale. “I got a call from my daddy who hear on the report who the shooter was so I can tell my friends since the crap-shooter wasn’t caught yet and could possibly be running with us in the crowd and may or were not able to still be armed. Statute enforcement was told the shooter was in the area and didn’t want any move, so my friends and I, along with hundreds of others had to sit on the grass in front of the Walmart where the street was.”

“Almost two hours later, the crap-shooter was caught and we were able to go home after demonstrating our information to law enforcement. I was in shock and didn’t know that this could be real. It wasn’t until I got home and turned on the information that I started feeling feelings other than being in shock. My brother came home from middle school and was looking for me to make sure I was there. I’ll never forget the look of comfort on his face when he saw me at home.”

“That night, my friend was still missing, it wasn’t until the next morning that he was confirmed one of child victims. I retain removing the remote and simply crying. I retain the working day back to academy after the shooting about two weeks later and investigating his empty desk. I remember the feeling of adrenaline and scandalize where reference is evacuated and not knowing what’s going on. I retain the hurt in my dresser when I went to my friend’s funeral. I recollect the numbness I felt when I learn all 17 martyrs faces on the information. The wrath I felt towards people who thought it was a conspiracy or bullshit. No one understands until a loved one dies in a horrific course. Gun violence happens every day and it needs to come to an end.”
