Donald Trump has added another golf victory at one of his own clubs, this time during an event that put the people who normally carry the bags onto the course alongside members.
The president reportedly won the annual Caddies’ Day tournament at Trump National Golf Club Westchester in Briarcliff Manor, New York, according to Page Six. The 18-hole event pairs club members with caddies, although the winning team’s score was not disclosed.
The day also came with a substantial payout for the staff. Trump awarded a $25,000 bonus to be divided among the club’s caddies and attended a post-tournament gathering honoring them.
The Westchester result followed another victory earlier in August at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, where Trump said he shot a two-under-par 70 while winning both the senior and super senior divisions of the club championship.
Trump’s Westchester Win Came With a $25,000 Caddie Bonus
Caddies’ Day differs from a typical club tournament because staff members who normally work alongside golfers get an opportunity to compete with them. EssentiallySports reported that the Westchester event covered 18 holes and paired caddies with club members.
Trump came away on the winning side, but neither Page Six nor the secondary reports identified his partner, published a scorecard or disclosed the team’s final score. Page Six also reported that Trump attended the post-round event honoring the caddies. A source described him as popular with the staff despite the political divisions surrounding him outside the club.
Page Six contacted the White House to verify that Trump had won the event. Assistant press secretary Olivia Wales responded, “Fact check: true. President Trump is a winner.”
Trump National Westchester is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Briarcliff Manor. The Trump Organization describes the property as featuring rolling terrain, streams, stone bridges and a 101-foot waterfall.
Trump Had Just Claimed Two Titles at Bedminster
On August 2, Trump announced that he had won both the senior and super senior divisions of the club championship at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. He said he completed the par-72 course in 70 strokes, two under par, and shared video of what he described as his winning shot.
“The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things.”
He then credited the result to natural ability. “It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!” Trump wrote. Sky Sports reported that the Bedminster club lists Trump as having previously won both senior divisions in 2023 and the senior championship again in 2024.
