DrinkinBrighton, who own a whole load of Brighton’s pubs, seem to have developed some very deep pockets in the last few years, which started off with their redevelopment of The Gloucester which became the North Laine, and has led to a number of their other pubs getting a facelift or a complete overhaul. Dead Wax Social is what used to be Riki Tiks (which has moved down to the beach), and is all vaguely record themed – logos of Brighton’s record labels line the walls, the music only comes from vinyl records and the pizzas they sell come in 7" and 12" sizes.
