The purpose of any good content marketing strategy should be lead generation followed by brand building and authority augmentation. The right content will attract the right audience and if you’re building a sustainable business then attracting the right audience will lead to more sales and sign-ups.
However, content marketing is a long-term strategy and designed to compound over time to build your authority and produce leads on autopilot. Most marketers won’t stay with it long enough to benefit from the fruit of their labor. That’s just fine for me because I often reap where I have not sown. Meaning, people run across someone else in my niche first and realize that person hasn’t put up any recent content and they stumble across mine. I get leads like this all the time.
Consistency is key.
