Captains Courageous (DVD) (1937)
A rich spoiled brat falls off an ocean liner and is rescued by a Portuguese fisherman. Forced to endure a 3 month voyage, he learns to like the ocean and earns his place among the many crew. Based on the Rudyard Kipling story, this can be a timeless household journey basic. Oscar-winner Spencer Tracy earned his first Academy Award because the fatherly fisherman.
