, let me give you a few interesting facts about the company.
Its shoes are super popular, with the brand selling more than 409 million pairs in 2018 alone!
But everything from the brand’s hoodies to sweatpants are also super popular.
The only problem is that Adidas shoes and apparel aren’t cheap!
If you’re on a budget especially, you’d rather not have to part with $40 for a hoodie when you can get one from Target or Walmart at a fraction of the cost.
Adidas products are super popular though and many people love to buy from the brand.
What can you do then if you’re on a budget?
Well, there’s actually a way for you to get Adidas shoes and other apparel for free!
Here’s how…
Sign up for Adidas Product Testing
It’s that simple.
The brand is actually sending out free stuff to customers!
Why, you ask?
Well, all brands want to ensure that their products are high quality and loved by consumers.
What better way to do this than by sending test products directly to their customers to try?
In fact, this is a very successful strategy to gather valuable feedback from real consumers that can help companies improve or develop better products. Some of the other companies with shoe product testing programs include Under Armour, New Balance, Reebok and Nike.
That’s why Adidas works with product testers – and you could be one of them.
How to Become an Adidas Product Tester
Does getting freebies from the brand sound good?
Then you should definitely sign up for its product testing program.
To get started, visit this page.
Then, you’ll need to apply for the program.
Not everyone qualifies to be a tester.
Program requirements
Here are the minimum requirements for joining the product testing program – you’ll need to:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Live in the US
- Have internet access
- Have a valid email address
- Be able to read and write in the English language
- Provide body measurements
- Not test any competitor products
- Not share information on the product you are testing, including on any source of social media, personal messaging or any other form of communication.
If you meet the requirements, you’ll need to fill in a survey.
You’ll need to fit one of its product sizes. The brand’s test products are only available in limited sizes.
So that’s a bit of a downside if you happen to be a size that’s just not available when you come to try the program.
You’ll also have to meet the minimum weekly activity requirement for your sport.
How it Works
Okay, so if you meet the requirements, you’ll qualify as one of the testers.
From there, this is what happens:
Step 1: Receive test invites
The brand’s product testing team chooses you based on certain characteristics, like your:
- Shoe/apparel size
- Demographic profile
- Geographic location
- Sport and athletic profile
Once you are selected for a test, the brand will send you an email inviting you to participate.
If you accept the invite, you get a test product mailed to you with instructions.
Step 2: Test out the product
After you get the product, you’ll need to test it out.
Make sure you test it out for the required amount of hours/mileage per week for the length of the test period – this is usually two to four weeks.
Step 3: Provide your feedback
You’ll need to keep detailed logs of your daily activities. And, in the end, you’ll answer a simple online questionnaire. Once you’ve tested the product, you’ll need to mail it back to the brand.
The brand will provide a return label. So, you don’t have to worry about paying for shipping!
Adidas will then inspect and evaluate the product.
Give a Try!
I think that it’s great when companies let you keep the stuff you test out.
Who doesn’t want free stuff, right?
But Adidas likely wants to see how its products hold up – so they do require you to return them.
That’s the real downside to the program.
However, you might get a pair of shoes or a hoodie to test out for a whole month that doesn’t cost you a penny.
And that’s still pretty great.
So, give the program a try and get your hands on some free Adidas stuff!
