Online marketing is overhyped and completely confused. Online business in general. Actually, there really is no distinction between off and on these days. Pretty much everyone has a website and social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
YouTube to me is a bit different. It’s probably the best platform for most because of the search element in combo with video.
Bottom line a lot of so-called “experts” don’t really know shit but they are able to rank at the top of search engines just by cranking out content. It does not mean it’s a good strategy. But, people find these posts and believe what they teach. If you visit blogs about online marketing or “internet” based media then chances are they are teaching that you should produce a bunch of free content also known as blogging. This, of course, has an seo element to it. The problem is it’s a fucking really bad strategy for most business owners for the simple fact that competition makes it impossible for most people to rank.
There are other factors. Bottom line, avoiding mistakes is the quickest way to making money in your online business or any other business. So much of what is taught are just flat-out lies by those who either do not know what they say or those who are only telling partial truths because they have vested interests. There is no such thing as a quick buck, but if you are not making any money there are some things you can do (and avoid) to get the ball rolling more quickly. I share 5 of them in this video.
