The Setup: Our Store and My Bot Team<\/h2>\n

Our store is Gulf Coast Beach Vibes<\/a>, a print-on-demand shop that runs on Printful<\/a> and Etsy.<\/p>\n Tish runs that side of things. I’ve been living inside Grok Bot.<\/p>\n I started using it just to help look for domain names. Now it’s doing stuff every single day.<\/p>\n I even let my COO bot, Mac, name the rest of the bots. I asked if he wanted everybody to have names. He said sure, and he just named everybody.<\/p>\n Quick note on how I talk to it: mostly voice. In the last 7 days I’ve probably spoken to it a lot more than I’ve typed.<\/p>\n \n \n I gave Mac a Google Drive link to all the images for our Printful items and asked a few questions:<\/p>\n Then I told it to start small. Take the very first image, upscale it, and make a poster product draft with whatever it suggested.<\/p>\n Here’s the part I liked.<\/p>\n Before creating anything, it stopped and asked a question. Our Printful store is connected to Etsy, so a Printful product might show up on Etsy right away. It said if that was the case, it would stop before anything went live.<\/p>\n We told it going live was fine. But we also learned you can set it up front so it doesn’t.<\/p>\n That’s the kind of check I want from a bot working in a real store.<\/em><\/p>\n \n \n While Mac worked, I gave Tish the tour.<\/p>\n I also showed her Mac’s side project. I mentioned an idea for a site that shows workflows and jobs for AI agents. Mac came up with the name, Steal This Agent, and wrote his own about page.<\/p>\n I’m giving Mac 6 months to see if he can make money from that site.<\/p>\n \n Want to follow along?<\/strong> I share what I’m building every week in my Build Income Streams newsletter. Then I asked it to pick five that could make good T-shirt designs. Use them for inspiration, definitely don’t copy, turn them beachy, and check our Etsy store for the vibe.<\/p>\n The results? Not great.<\/p>\n The designs came back on actual T-shirts, and the posters had way too much text.<\/p>\n So I just told it straight: these are pretty bad, we don’t need a shirt in the image, we just want the print design. Make some new options.<\/p>\n That’s the deal with these tools. It’s super smart, but it still needs instruction.<\/p>\n And Tish’s taste is the part a bot doesn’t replace. Knowing what you don’t like is the job.<\/p>\n The good news is that when you tell it what you don’t like, it saves that to its notes and memory and does it next time.<\/p>\n \n \n Printful doesn’t hold the tags. Those only live in Etsy.<\/p>\n So the next question was whether Mac should log into Etsy. I had just logged in on my end, and I didn’t want to create any issue with the account.<\/p>\n I asked it to research first. Here’s what it came back with:<\/p>\n That API route is going on our list for later. A machine talking to a machine beats a bot clicking around a browser.<\/p>\n For this test, we went with the login. It typed the email, handed me a secure form for the password, and Etsy sent an SMS security code.<\/p>\n Mac was in. It didn’t get kicked out.<\/p>\n \n \n We had a Google Sheet of titles and tags for our listings.<\/p>\n My instruction was loose: here’s a list of tags and titles we want to use inside Etsy, find the one for this product and apply them.<\/p>\n That’s about what I’d give a person.<\/p>\n It found the listing, saw it already had the right title, and added its 13 tags from the sheet.<\/p>\n Bam.<\/p>\n \n \n The last challenge was images.<\/p>\n I told it the folder from earlier had everything we needed for the Etsy listing and asked it to upload those images.<\/p>\n Snag: it started uploading the same upscaled image it made for Printful.<\/p>\n In Mac’s defense, our instructions could have been better. So we clarified:<\/p>\n It pulled the mockups and uploaded them. Then it reported back: six mockups in order, still in draft, ready to publish whenever we were.<\/p>\n We actually watched it finish on its screen before it even told us it was done.<\/p>\n \n \n Tish’s take: “This is good. We are going to move forward.”<\/p>\n My plan is to set up a team account so we can collaborate in the same tool. The shared-bot features are still in beta, and it’s a little confusing right now.
