Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi asserted that Tehran is prepared to resume war with the U.S. and said it will stand firm “even if it comes to a doomsday war.”<\/p>\n
Asked whether diplomacy has failed, Araghchi told NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday that there is always hope but repeatedly cast doubts on the Trump administration’s intentions.<\/p>\n

But we have no reason, to be honest with you, we have no reason to come back to diplomacy and engage with this administration once again, because of their behavior in the past two years,” Araghchi said<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We stand firm in the face of any aggression against us, even if it comes to a doomsday war,” he said, adding “at the same time, we are ready for diplomacy.”<\/p>\n “Now there is a very reasonable plan on the table. If they reject it for no reason, this is their fault,” Araghchi said.<\/p>\n “We are ready for diplomacy.
