A man was arrested after a woman in her 60s was pronounced dead after she was found unresponsive and with multiple stab wounds in New York City’s Central Park on Sunday, according to police.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Robles, 36, was arrested and faces murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges, according to the New York Police Department.<\/p>\n

The 63-year-old woman’s identity and the circumstances of her death were withheld by police pending an autopsy by the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office, an NYPD spokesperson told ABC News.<\/p>\n

Police said there is currently no known relationship between the suspect and victim.<\/p>\n

A 911 caller reported finding the body around 9:43 a.m. ET on Sunday, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

Officers who responded to the call found the woman unresponsive with trauma and stab wounds on her body, police said.<\/p>\n

The woman was found off a walking trail in the park near East Drive and East 74th Street, according to police.<\/p>\n

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
