Taylor Lautner and his wife, Tay Lautner, have welcomed their first child, and the couple found a way to keep their famously shared name in the family.<\/p>\n
The pair announced Sept. 23 that their daughter, Lennon Taylor Lautner, had been born one week earlier. \u201cOne week loving our sweet little Lenny,\u201d they wrote in a joint Instagram post, revealing her Sept. 16 birth date.<\/p>\n
The first photograph showed Lennon in a light-colored onesie on a pink blanket beside a stitched sign displaying her first and middle names. Her parents are already calling her Lenny.<\/p>\n
Both Taylor and Tay are named Taylor Lautner, a coincidence they played with when announcing the pregnancy in March. \u201cWhat\u2019s better than two Taylor Lautners?\u201d they asked at the time, and their daughter\u2019s middle name now carries Taylor into another generation.<\/p>\n

Taylor and Tay kept their daughter\u2019s first week private before introducing her publicly on Sept. 23. Their announcement included no detailed birth story, instead focusing on Lennon\u2019s name, nickname and arrival date.<\/p>\n
The couple had spent much of the summer preparing for their first child. Friends celebrated Tay with a pink-themed baby shower in August, which she said was organized by Jaclyn Hill, and the expectant mother wrote that their daughter was already surrounded by people who loved her.<\/p>\n
Shortly before Lennon\u2019s birth, Tay also shared a look inside the completed nursery. The room featured colorful and floral details, while Taylor described it as his favorite room in their home.<\/p>\n
The couple announced Tay\u2019s pregnancy on March 26 with outdoor sonogram photographs, nearly four years after their November 2022 wedding.<\/p>\n

Taylor later said becoming a girl dad had been one of his longtime hopes. He emphasized that a healthy baby was what mattered most, but admitted he had quietly dreamed of having a daughter, according to People<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Tay had already seen qualities in her husband that made her confident about parenthood. During her pregnancy, she spoke about watching him interact with children and said his kindness and attentiveness made it easy for her to picture him as a father.<\/p>\n
