The FBI is investigating a possible cyber breach of its primary job application site, FBIjobs.gov, sources told ABC News.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since 2017, the site has been the primary place for job seekers to apply for employment at the FBI for agent and other support positions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The FBI is continuing to assess the extent of the breach and what information may have been compromised, according to sources familiar with the matter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is unclear how many people might be impacted.<\/p>\n

Earlier Tuesday, in a brief statement, the FBI said it was aware of claims regarding unauthorized activity on the site.<\/p>\n

“The FBI is aware of claims regarding unauthorized activity affecting FBIjobs.gov and is currently investigating,” the statement said.<\/p>\n

404 Media reported Tuesday that a hacking group claimed responsibility for hacking employees’ data. ABC News has not verified the group’s claims.\u00a0<\/p>\n
