Lopez and Affleck first dated in the early 2000s, ended their original engagement in 2004, then reunited in 2021 before marrying the following year.<\/p>\n<h2>She Has Talked About Taking Time for Herself<\/h2>\n<p>Lopez\u2019s Kimmel comments follow earlier remarks about taking time after the divorce. <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jennifer-lopez-says-she-regrets-not-embracing-single-life-sooner-11985293\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PEOPLE reported<\/a> that she told <em>Good Morning America<\/em> in March that she took a year off work to sit with what had happened instead of running from it through work, another relationship, or constant distraction.<\/p>\n<p>She also said she was learning to enjoy being on her own after spending much of her adult life in relationships.<\/p>\n<h2>Lopez Is Also Preparing for a Family Change<\/h2>\n<p>The interview also touched on her children. <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jennifer-lopez-crying-2-months-18-year-old-twins-college-11985245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PEOPLE reported<\/a> that Lopez said she had been crying for two months as her 18-year-old twins, Max and Emme, prepare to leave for college.<\/p>\n<p>Lopez shares Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
