A manhunt was underway early on Sunday after at least one person was killed and five others were injured in a shooting at an event in Switzerland, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said that “some” of the injured at the event in the Schachen district of Aarau, a northern Swiss town, were thought to have serious wounds.<\/p>\n

“Possible motives as well as the exact circumstances of the crime are still unclear,” the Aargau Cantonal Police said on social media<\/p>\n

Police said that a horse racing track, a swimming pool and a sports field had been cordoned off following the shooting.<\/p>\n

“Major police operation underway,” police said. “Stay away from the area.”<\/p>\n
