Three students were injured in a stabbing at a Texas high school on Friday, authorities said.<\/p>\n
A suspect is in custody in connection with the incident at Americas High School in El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n
The victims were transported to local hospitals with stab wounds and are all in stable condition, authorities said. Their families have been notified, according to the Socorro Independent School District.<\/p>\n
“All other students and staff are safe under the supervision of faculty and staff,” the school district said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released any information on the suspect.<\/p>\n The sheriff’s office said it is investigating the incident with assistance from the Texas Rangers and Socorro Independent School District Police Department.<\/p>\n Texas State Sen. Cesar Blanco said his office is in “close contact” with local and state officials following the incident.<\/p>\n “I am deeply saddened by the senseless violence at Americas High School today,” Blanco said in a statement. “I am praying for the students, families, faculty, and staff affected by this incident.”<\/p>\n
