Kristen Stewart had an unusually personal perspective on the director of her latest movie. In The Wrong Girls<\/em>, the actress stars for her wife Dylan Meyer, who is making her feature directorial debut with a project she had been developing long before the two became a couple.<\/p>\n Stewart said Meyer impressed her with the way she built a team around the film and then invited those collaborators to make the material their own. In an E! News interview<\/a>, she described her wife\u2019s approach as \u201cbeautiful, delicate, gentle\u201d and \u201cinviting.\u201d<\/p>\n Stewart said the crew became deeply invested in Meyer\u2019s vision and was willing to follow her wherever the production required, adding that making the movie was \u201cso much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Meyer says she had Stewart in mind for the role years before they reconnected in 2019, turning a creative instinct from early in their friendship into the first feature in which she has directed her wife.<\/p>\n Meyer told E! that she shared the project with Stewart roughly seven years before the two reconnected and began dating. \u201cI actually shared it with her probably seven years before we ever reconnected and started dating,\u201d Meyer said. \u201cWhen I first met her, I always wanted Kristen to be in the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n She then turned to Stewart and jokingly clarified, \u201cThat\u2019s not why I started dating you.\u201d Stewart and Meyer first met on a film set in 2013 before reconnecting at a friend\u2019s birthday party in 2019.
