Romy Reiner brought an unexpected family connection to the finale of Larry David\u2019s HBO sketch series Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness<\/em>.<\/p>\n The 28-year-old actor appeared in the seventh and final episode, \u201cLawrence,\u201d which debuted August 7. Her father, filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner, had filmed what became his final screen performance for the same series before his death in December 2025.<\/p>\n According to Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Romy and Rob appeared in separate historical sketches and did not share a scene.<\/p>\n Romy\u2019s appearance also marked a return to a Larry David project after she played a drugstore cashier on Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em> in 2021.<\/p>\n In \u201cLawrence,\u201d Romy plays an exasperated nurse caring for President William Henry Harrison, portrayed by Fred Melamed. The sketch centers on Washington announcing that he will step away from the presidency after two terms as David repeatedly interrupts him with increasingly elaborate hypothetical questions about what future presidents might do.<\/p>\n Executive producer Ethan Lewis told TV Insider<\/a> that Reiner filmed the segment in October 2025. Lewis said having him involved was special at the time and had taken on additional significance following his death.<\/p>\n Rob and Larry David had worked together for decades. Reiner first appeared as a fictionalized version of himself on Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em> in 2001 and returned to the series multiple times.<\/p>\n Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness<\/em> is a seven-episode limited sketch-comedy series created by David and Jeff Schaffer.
