Her comment did not rule out appearing in another film in a supporting or shared role.<\/p>\n<p>The change follows her starring and executive-producing work on <em>Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles<\/em> and <em>The Madison<\/em>, two television ensembles that arrived after more than four decades of acclaimed film performances.<\/p>\n<h2>Pfeiffer Only Wants to Work in Ensemble Projects<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cI only want to do ensemble pieces,\u201d Pfeiffer said. \u201cIt\u2019s so much more fun. I love it so much.\u201d She made the declaration while appearing alongside fellow Emmy nominees Elle Fanning, Dale Dickey, Karolina Wydra, Rhea Seehorn and Jessica Williams.<\/p>\n<p>Pfeiffer also praised the range of complicated female characters currently appearing on television. \u201cI\u2019ve just been so bowled over by the female performances on television, and honestly, they\u2019re just really owning TV,\u201d she said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/michelle-pfeiffer-says-she-never-wants-to-star-in-another-movie-12034148\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PEOPLE<\/a>. Her film career includes <em>Scarface<\/em>, <em>Dangerous Liaisons<\/em>, <em>The Fabulous Baker Boys<\/em>, <em>Batman Returns<\/em>, <em>Dangerous Minds<\/em> and the <em>Ant-Man<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n<p>She earned Academy Award nominations for <em>Dangerous Liaisons<\/em>, <em>The Fabulous Baker Boys<\/em> and <em>Love Field<\/em>. Her latest awards recognition came from television. Margo is a recent college dropout and new mother struggling with mounting bills after the professor who fathered her child leaves. She eventually begins creating online content to support herself and her baby.<\/p>\n<p>Pfeiffer told <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/article\/2026\/03\/31\/michelle-pfeiffer-interview-margos-got-money-troubles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TIME<\/a> that she immediately recognized Shyanne\u2019s Southern California world. \u201cI know Fullerton,\u201d she said. \u201cI grew up in Orange County. I know this woman. In some ways, I\u2019ve been longing to play this part.\u201d Pfeiffer praised the series for allowing its characters to confront the difference between the lives they expected and the circumstances in which they eventually found themselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love how complicated and flawed all these characters are,\u201d she said during the Apple TV panel, adding that she was proud to be part of the series. Fanning told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/elle-fanning-michelle-pfeiffer-pulled-over-while-filming-margos-got-money-troubles-11996594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PEOPLE<\/a> that Pfeiffer became \u201cfamily\u201d while they played a mother and daughter with a complicated relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Pfeiffer described Fanning as a performer who could complete an emotionally difficult scene and immediately switch into producer mode to address problems behind the camera. \u201cShe\u2019s just the consummate professional,\u201d Pfeiffer said. \u201cShe\u2019s able to just wholeheartedly slip into character, do this emotional scene, do three takes, come out of it and handle issues as a producer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pfeiffer said the two also laughed constantly between takes and continued spending time together away from the set. Their production included at least one unexpected encounter with police. Fanning revealed that she and Pfeiffer were nearly arrested while filming a limousine scene on the Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n<p>The actors were standing through the vehicle\u2019s sunroof when an officer ordered them to get down. Although the production had arranged permission and a police escort, Fanning said one officer apparently did not know the sequence had been authorized.<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018The Madison\u2019 Offered a Darker Family Ensemble<\/h2>\n<p>Pfeiffer\u2019s second major television project placed her at the center of a much darker family story without making her the only character carrying it. In Taylor Sheridan\u2019s <em>The Madison<\/em>, she plays Stacy Clyburn, a wealthy New Yorker attempting to rebuild her life in Montana following the death of her husband, Preston, played by Kurt Russell.<\/p>\n<p>The Paramount+ drama follows Stacy\u2019s grief alongside the damaged relationships among her children and grandchildren. Pfeiffer told <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/michelle-pfeiffer-reveals-why-done-starring-in-movies-12033365\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a> that she stars in and executive-produces both <em>The Madison<\/em> and <em>Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Madison<\/em> completed production on its second season before Paramount+ renewed the series for a third. Release dates for Seasons 2 and 3 have not been announced.<\/p>\n<h2>Still Acting, But Done With Months of Prep<\/h2>\n<p>Pfeiffer has previously taken extended breaks from acting, particularly while raising her daughter, Claudia, and son, John, with her husband, television writer and producer David E.
