Police in Idaho said they are responding to an active shooter incident near an In-N-Out Burger location in Twin Falls.<\/p>\n
The Twin Falls Police Department did not provide further details about the situation, but asked residents to stay away from the area.<\/p>\n
There was no word on any possible injuries.<\/p>\n
The FBI said it is aware of the situation and offering assistance to local law enforcement, according to an agency spokesman.<\/p>\n
Twin Falls is a city of more than 56,000 people about 128 miles southeast of Boise.<\/p>\n
In a statement on social media, Idaho Gov. Brad Little asked for prayers “as law enforcement and first responders respond to an active shooter situation near In-N-Out.”<\/p>\n
Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador, in a statement on social media, said first responders were continuing to search for the suspect near the In-N-Out.<\/p>\n
“Twin Falls Police, Idaho State Police, and fire and paramedic crews remain on scene working to secure the area,” Labrador said. “If you\u2019re in the area, please listen to local authorities and stay away from In-N-Out and the surrounding streets so first responders can do their jobs.”<\/p>\n
