President Donald Trump said on Monday he doesn’t “know enough” about the strike on an Iranian elementary school that Iran says killed at least 168 people, including dozens of children, but that he was “willing to live” with the findings of a U.S. investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n

But\u00a0that’s\u00a0being investigated right now.”<\/p>\n The U.S. makes and sells Tomahawks to its closest allies, including the U.K. and Australia. But it has never sold the technology to Iran or other adversaries. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, standing just behind the president on the plane, said the matter was under investigation and that “only side that targets civilians is Iran.”<\/p>\n But pressed on those remarks, Trump said on Monday, “I just don’t know enough about it.”<\/p>\n “I think\u00a0it’s\u00a0something that I was\u00a0told\u00a0is\u00a0under investigation. But\u00a0Tomahawks are\u00a0–are\u00a0used by\u00a0others,\u00a0as you\u00a0know.\u00a0Numerous\u00a0other nations have Tomahawks.\u00a0They buy them from us,” Trump said.<\/p>\n “But I will\u00a0certainly,\u00a0whatever the report shows,\u00a0I’m\u00a0willing to live with that\u00a0report,” the president continued.<\/p>\n The U.S. military was\u00a0striking targets in the country\u00a0last Saturday in an area where an elementary school was hit and dozens of children were killed, two people familiar with the initial findings previously told ABC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n An analysis of satellite imagery by ABC News suggests the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab was near an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps compound but had been separated from it more than decade ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, rejected Trump’s claim that Iran was behind the hit on the girls’ elementary school.<\/p>\n![\"Abbas](\"https:\/\/i.abcnewsfe.com\/a\/dc209553-e750-47a2-83d4-94a0c000be5b\/iran_1773026422243_hpMain.jpeg?w=375 "\\"Abbas")
