President Donald Trump is calling for the country of Cuba to make a deal with the U.S. \u201cbefore it is too late,” as he attempts to maintain leverage in the region following the raid on Venezuela about a week ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cTHERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA – ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE,\u201d Trump posted to his social media platform.<\/p>\n

The call comes after Trump has continued to threaten that the U.S. could take action against Cuba similar to that it took against Venezuela.<\/p>\n

Trump had also levied threats against Colombia<\/a>, but those have been toned down after the country\u2019s president, Gustavo Petro, had a productive phone call with Trump and is set to visit the White House this week.<\/p>\n

Trump also claimed on Sunday that most of the Cubans who provide security and intelligence services to Venezuela are \u201cdead\u201d from the United States\u2019 attack to capture Nicolas Maduro on Jan. 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cCuba lived, for many years, on large amounts of OIL and MONEY from Venezuela. In return, Cuba provided \u201cSecurity Services\u201d for the last two Venezuelan dictators, BUT NOT ANYMORE! Most of those Cubans are DEAD from last weeks U.S.A. attack,\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n
