A “suspicious object” was discovered by the Secret Service on Sunday as President Donald Trump was headed to Palm Beach International Airport from Mar-a-Lago, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The finding warranted a further investigation and caused the presidential motorcade to take a different route than normal, Leavitt said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring advance sweeps of PBI airport, a suspicious object\u00a0was discovered by the U.S. Secret Service. A further investigation was warranted and the presidential motorcade route was adjusted accordingly,\u201d Leavitt said.<\/p>\n

Further details on the object have not yet been released by officials.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
