#1: The Kennedy Center Became Trump\u2019s Stage<\/strong><\/p>\n

It started with a board takeover in February. By December, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts had Trump\u2019s name physically bolted to the building, artists fleeing like it was on fire, and a lawsuit<\/a> threat against a jazz musician who canceled his Christmas Eve concert.<\/p>\n

Hamilton pulled out. So did Issa Rae, Ben Folds, Ren\u00e9e Fleming, and Rhiannon Giddens. The image of her holding a daisy and singing \u201cWhat a Wonderful World\u201d in zero gravity launched a thousand memes. None of them were kind.<\/p>\n
