\u201cDazed and Confused\u201d actor Nicky Katt<\/strong> died by suicide at his home in California, TMZ has learned.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Law enforcement sources tell us \u2026 Katt\u2019s body was discovered hanging inside his L.A. area apartment by his landlord on April 8.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Our sources say the landlord visited Katt\u2019s apartment about a week earlier, telling him his rent was due, and he needed to pay it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We\u2019re told when the landlord returned five days later, the apartment door was open, and Katt was hanging inside his bedroom. Our sources say Katt did not leave a suicide note, and that he\u2019d been deceased for more than a day when he was found.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Born in South Dakota, Katt became a recognizable face in dozens of Hollywood TV shows and films throughout the \u201980s and \u201990s. His TV credits include \u201cMonk,\u201d \u201cLaw & Order\u201d and \u201cBoston Public,\u201d where he landed the standout role of teacher Harry Senate.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

He also scored parts in several well-known films, including \u201cA Time to Kill,\u201d \u201cSin City,\u201d \u201cBoiler Room,\u201d \u201cSchool of Rock,\u201d \u201cThe Way of the Gun\u201d and, of course, the super popular \u201cDazed and Confused,\u201d in which he played tough guy Clint Bruno.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Katt was married to a woman named Annie Morse<\/strong> from 1999 to 2001, but they divorced. He was 54.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
