Jack Antonoff<\/strong> is getting slammed as \u201cdisrespectful\u201d after he put in earplugs during Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards \u2026 7 years after his infamous banana drama.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Here\u2019s what went down \u2026 Katy took to the stage at the UBS Arena in New York Wednesday evening, where she performed a medley of her greatest hits before accepting the show\u2019s coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While the consensus online was that KP killed it in her VMAs performance, one person seemed less than impressed with her act \u2026 as the music producer was caught on the audience camera slipping some noise-canceling plugs into his ears.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As the footage began making the rounds online, many of Katy\u2019s loyal fans called out Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s frequent collaborator for being \u201cso disrespectful.\u201d Many believed Jack purposefully shaded Katy with the earplugs, to transmit his dislike of the singer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n If Jack was really trying to shade Katy, it wouldn\u2019t be surprising given their complicated history. For those not clued in, Jack has taken shots at Katy a handful of times amid her former feud with his BFF, Taylor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n There was a time in 2014 when Jack referred to Katy\u2019s music as \u201cthrowaway\u201d compared to Taylor\u2019s.
