Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> got a sweet sendoff on the TV show she\u2019s been on for 7 years \u2014 with \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d paying tribute to her by having the remaining contestants sing a bunch of her songs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The pop star showed up on \u2018Idol\u2019 Sunday night for the season finale \u2026 and before they announced the winner (Abi Carter<\/strong>), Ryan Seacrest<\/strong><\/a> and co. gave KP her own special moment in the broadcast \u2026 and of course, it included music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u2018Idol\u2019 producers brought back the Top 12 girls \u2014 several of whom had already been eliminated, but only appeared for this highlight \u2014 to belt out a medley of Katy\u2019s biggest songs \u2026 including \u201cTeenage Dream,\u201d \u201cDark Horse\u201d and \u201cCalifornia Girls.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As you can imagine \u2026 it made for an awesome performance \u2014 both in-person and on TV \u2014 with all the ladies harmonizing as they hop-scotched their way through Katy\u2019s most iconic hits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Katy herself looked on from the judge\u2019s table \u2026 and once the tribute wrapped, she gave a big round of applause \u2014 and even hopped up on the table itself to show her approval.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n
