Melissa Joan Hart<\/strong><\/a> feels a lot of regret over introducing a then-underage Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> to her first clubbing experience in the nineties \u2026 something she says she wishes she didn\u2019t do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n BS and MJH\u2019s friendship began in 1999 when the \u2018Sabrina\u2019 actress appeared in Spears\u2019 \u201c(You Drive Me) Crazy\u201d music video, and Britney guested on Melissa\u2019s ABC show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Being 6 years older, Melissa says she felt a sibling-like bond with Britney \u2026 hence why she feels she should\u2019ve known better than to take her to a nightclub at 17.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Melissa gave some more context to Entertainment Tonight<\/strong><\/a> \u2026 saying she extended the nightclub invite to Britney after noticing she could never break free from the swarm of people constantly surrounding her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She didn\u2019t think it\u2019d be a big deal \u2026 adding, \u201cI would go to a club every night \u2014 I love dancing, and I loved going out, but I also knew to be responsible and, like, when to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n Recalling their first night out together, MJH added \u2026 \u201cShe was underage and young and \u2014 but I [was] just like, \u2018Let\u2019s go out. We\u2019re just gonna go out and have some fun.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n In the years that followed, though, Britney became known for hitting the party scene way more often, especially with newfound gal pals like Paris Hilton<\/strong><\/a> and Lindsay Lohan<\/strong><\/a> in the early aughts. At the time, they were like a little crew hitting the town almost every weekend.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Now, Melissa says she thinks she may have unintentionally opened the floodgates to Britney\u2019s wild adventures, with her explaining \u2026 \u201cI feel really guilty about that still to this day because I should have known better, being a big sister.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Of course, while Britney continued to enjoy career success, things quickly spiraled, and she was placed under a conservatorship by her father, Jamie<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 which ended after 13 years in 2021<\/strong><\/a>, thanks in part to the #FreeBritney movement.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n However, there\u2019ve been calls to reinstate a conservatorship for Britney after her life seems to be unraveling<\/strong><\/a> of late \u2026 especially following her recent erratic behavior<\/strong><\/a> with her current BF.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n\n
