Zendaya<\/strong><\/a> is a no-fly zone for almost all of the major fashion houses as long as her stylist Law Roach<\/strong> is calling the shots \u2026 because he remembers which designers turned her down, and he won\u2019t let them forget it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Law poured all sorts of tea when he was on \u201cThe Cutting Room Floor\u201d podcast \u2014 for instance, why Zendaya doesn\u2019t wear Chanel, Saint Laurent, Dior or Gucci when she\u2019s making her grand entrances to fashion events and movie premieres.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He explained that early in Z\u2019s career \u2014 he\u2019s been dressing her since 14 \u2014 he\u2019d try to get big designers to work with her. He says, \u201cI would write [to] the big five\u2026 and they would all say no. Try again next year. She\u2019s too green. She\u2019s not on our calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Well, in the words of one Julia Roberts<\/strong><\/a> \u2026 \u201cBig mistake. Huge.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n Law added, \u201cI still have the receipts\u201d on who turned her down. He says only Valentino\u2019s creeped off his s**t list, because they eventually did a full campaign around Zendaya.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n He makes no bones about it, \u201cWhen I said, \u2018If you say no, it\u2019ll be a no forever,\u2019 that rang true for a long, long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n And, even though she went on to score the cover of American Vogue, in 2017, he says he still won\u2019t rock with the fashion giants, besides Valentino, for any of her public appearances.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The \u201cChallengers\u201d star was lauded earlier this week for her Met Gala fits \u2014 2 John Galliano<\/strong><\/a>-designed gowns, for the record.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Almost begrudgingly, Law admits Zendaya\u2019s worn some of the big 5 for magazine photo shoots \u2026 but you can tell he\u2019s not happy about it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
