Dermot Mulroney<\/strong><\/a> believes Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a> is so much more than a pretty face \u2014 despite the fact some believe she\u2019s just getting by in showbiz on good looks and a rockin\u2019 bod.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n We caught up with the actor in L.A. Tuesday \u2026 where he addressed Hollywood producer Carol Baum<\/strong>\u2018s controversial criticism of his \u201cAnyone But You\u201d costar. As you may have heard \u2026 Carol blasted Sydney\u2019s acting ability and looks, slamming \u2018ABY\u2019 as being unwatchable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While Dermot laughed off Carol\u2019s hate<\/strong><\/a> for his and Sydney\u2019s rom-com \u2014 in which he played the actress\u2019 father \u2014 he did issue a reprimand to Carol \u2026 making it clear he doesn\u2019t approve of the way she dissed his costar\u2019s looks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n As Dermot puts it \u2026 Sydney couldn\u2019t be a better collaborator, praising the bombshell actress for her warmth and likability. He adds \u2026 \u201cShe\u2019s more deserving than anyone I know. She\u2019s worked her tail off since she was a kid and she is exceptional in every way.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n This is a similar sentiment to the one shared by Sydney\u2019s former acting coach<\/strong><\/a>, Scott Sedita<\/strong> \u2026 who praised the actress\u2019 inner beauty and talent to us not too long ago.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Of course, the \u201cEuphoria\u201d star\u2019s team also hit back<\/strong><\/a> at Carol\u2019s criticism \u2026 labeling the producer\u2019s comments as \u201csad\u201d and \u201cshameful.\u201d Carol herself has walked it all back.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
