ABC revived the series for a seventh season, which premiered on March 14, 2024. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/tv\/news\/9-1-1-renewed-season-8-abc-100th-episode-1235957817\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><em>Variety<\/em><\/a>, the season seven premiere pulled in 11.8 million viewers during its first week of availability, which makes <em>9-1-1<\/em> the most-watched ABC show this season.<\/p>\n<p>Two-time Oscar nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/wealthofgeeks.com\/the-greatest-angela-bassett-performances-ever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Angela Bassett<\/a> spoke to <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/angela-bassett-opens-up-about-fight-for-oscar-winning-career-lessons-shes-teaching-her-twins-exclusive-8601416\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><em>People<\/em><\/a> about <em>9-1-1, <\/em>which she also executive produces. \u201cI&#8217;ve always been a hard worker,\u201d said Bassett. \u201cYou have to know what to say no to as well as what to say yes to. Vance and has two 18-year-old twin daughters readying for college in the fall \u2014 says she often leaves home before sunrise and returns after sunset to film <em>9-1-1<\/em>. \u201cI hope that what will come out of that is that they see a mama, a woman, a Black woman achieving her dreams, having success,\u201d said Bassett. \u201cThey\u2019ll see that hard work pays off. And they\u2019ll be about that life for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bassett, who took home an honorary Oscar earlier this year in celebration of her long career, added, \u201cOne of the things that always that I say to myself and to my kids is, \u2018Find the good and praise it.&#8217; The fact that it\u2019s happening all at the same time, it can be a little overwhelming unless you just breathe through it and remember to be grateful.
