The UK architecture industry\u2019s charity movement HD5K is going virtual in 2021, announcing on beings to run or march five kilometres in their neighbourhoods and raise money to fight engine neurone disease.<\/p>\n

HD5K<\/a> is organised by architectural visualisation studio Hayes Davidson<\/a> in honor of its founder Alan Davidson, who died of motor neurone infection( MND) in 2018. All money promoted goes to the MND Association<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Previously held in London\u2019s Hyde Park, the annual happen will return on 22 May 2021 with a virtual format, conveying anyone around the world can take part.<\/p>\n

Participants are asked to run or step five kilometres in their neighbourhood localities and refer a donation to the MND Association. There is a minimum donation of PS20, with accolades to be triumphed for smugglers who use the dedicated app.<\/p>\n

\"RunnersThe virtual 2021 contest follows on from HD5K 2019 in Hyde Park <\/p>\n

\u201cThe HD5K has braced a special place in all our centers now at Hayes Davidson, and whilst we would love to be all together this year in Hyde Park again as we did back in 2019, we are of the view that a virtual run was more appropriate for 2021, \u201d said Hayes Davidson joint managing spouse David Bullock.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is very exciting for us, nonetheless, as we are able to open up our invitation to join our run to our entire community worldwide! \u201c<\/p>\n

The HD5k happening has raised PS160, 000 for the MND Association since the inaugural movement back in 2018. Designers from Zaha Hadid Architects, Heatherwick Studio and AL_A took part in the most recent HD5K in 2019. <\/p>\n

Also amongst the 122 smugglers that year were Rogers Stirk Harbour+ Partner superintendent Ivan Harbour, AHMM co-founder Simon Allford, decorator Jason Bruges, architect Simon Smithson, and Dezeen\u2019s own bos content officer Benedict Hobson<\/a> and elderly Dezeen Awards manager Rebecca Grove<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"IvanRogers Stirk Harbour+ Collaborator superintendent Ivan Harbour was among the 122 athletes in 2019 <\/p>\n

The Alan Davidson Foundation is coordinating the fundraising and will coincide donations up to this year\u2019s target of PS40, 000. <\/p>\n

Motor neurone disease describes groupings of diseases that are harmful to the nerves in the mentality and spinal line, making weakness and eventually leading to death.<\/p>\n

The MND Association is a charity be concentrated on providing support for people affected by the disease as well as fund research.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MND Association is incredibly grateful for the continued support from the Alan Davidson Foundation, Hayes Davidson and the wider structure and design industry, \u201d said MND Association CEO Sally Light.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel lucky to have been part of the HD5K affair in 2019 and it was heartening to see so many friends and collaborators meeting together in the fight against MND.\u201d<\/p>\n
