Dear Working Parents<\/a>, <\/p>\n

I’m so impressed<\/a> by you.<\/p>\n

I’m not one of you<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not “technically,” I guess.<\/p>\n

I’m a writer, so I kind of have a job, but then again, I oblige no money doing it( yet ), so I don’t think it’s fair to compare my work to your 9-5, 7-7, 10 -8, or whatever full or part-time hours you put in.<\/p>\n

But I encounter all that you are doing<\/p>\n

DURING A GLOBAL HEALTH PANDEMIC<\/p>\n

to tend to your<\/p>\n

non-living and living responsibilities ;P TAGEND <\/p>\n

your responsibilities that pay the proposals and your other young human ones that are the reason those statutes are so high.<\/p>\n

I see you<\/p>\n

working outside of your home, <\/p>\n

working from inside your home, <\/p>\n

working while you cook, <\/p>\n

while you jam-pack lunches, <\/p>\n

while your child cleanses, <\/p>\n

while they do school wield, <\/p>\n

and while they sleep.<\/p>\n

I see you<\/p>\n

taking announces, <\/p>\n

making announces, <\/p>\n

and missing important calls.<\/p>\n

I see you<\/p>\n

worried about your child’s return to brick and mortar.<\/p>\n

I see you struggling to keep up with their at-home e-learning zoom schedule and workload.<\/p>\n

I see you letting them return to sports.<\/p>\n

I see you missing their sports because of deadlines that can’t be missed so that you can earn that paycheck that pays for those sports.<\/p>\n

I see you avoiding indoor openings and parties because your fear and health risks devastates you.<\/p>\n

I see you taking on this pandemic and the incredibly difficult decisions us guardians have been required to make because of it, <\/p>\n

with little time, <\/p>\n

energy, <\/p>\n

and alternatives, <\/p>\n

and nailing every aspect of what it means to be a stellar mother who is providing for their child in every gumption of the word.<\/p>\n

I’m a stay-at-home mom and riding out this virus with three varied-aged, big personality-donning children is a feat and it’s exhausting.<\/p>\n

But, possibly not as trying and taxing as “ve had to” do the same AND work.<\/p>\n

This isn’t me quarrelling that mothers without activities have it easy, <\/p>\n

it’s really me genuinely and rightfully acknowledging that those who are working right now, <\/p>\n

and raising children during the coronavirus pandemic, <\/p>\n

like you, <\/p>\n

have it quite hard.<\/p>\n

And you are taking the hard<\/p>\n

and rising to the f-ing occasion, <\/p>\n

and all I’m saying, <\/p>\n

in case you don’t hear it fairly, <\/p>\n

is that you are<\/p>\n

amazing, <\/p>\n

impressive, <\/p>\n

admired, <\/p>\n

and very much supported.<\/p>\n

So reach out if it was necessary to,’ movement your village is ready to build you up.<\/p>\n
