Kanye West<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s been having some very good days lately \u2026 and it looks like he wants to make \u201cWest Day Ever\u201d the next extension of his booming brand.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The apparent presidential candidate is much better at filing paperwork with the trademark office than he is with the Fe<\/em>deral Election Commission \u2026 because he filed docs last month to slap the \u2018West Day\u2019 slogan on clothing and shoes.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Ye, however, has yet to officially register to run for Prez despite his announcement<\/strong><\/a> over the weekend.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

As for \u201cWest Day Ever\u201d \u2026 Kanye filed trademark docs on June 26 covering more than 100 different types of apparel \u2014 t-shirts, hoodies, tracksuits, bomber jackets, turtlenecks, jumpsuits, g-strings, beanies, blazers, infantwear, footwear and everything in between.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The date is significant because it was the same day news broke that the rapper landed a 10-year deal with Gap<\/strong><\/a> to launch a new clothing line called Yeezy Gap.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

That was when Kanye first tweeted the slogan, saying \u2026 \u201cYEEZY AND GAP FORM PARTNERSHIP #WESTDAYEVER.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

He\u2019s since used the hashtag to promote the release of a shoe and new music, as well \u2014 and it will likely be a big part of his 2020 campaign \u2026 whenever that starts.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Of course, Kanye needs to do a lot more than just distribute some hats and shirts. He still needs to register with the FEC, present a campaign platform and collect enough signatures \u2014 not just Elon Musk<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s \u2014 to get on the November ballot.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Whatever works West for him, though.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
