Carl Reiner<\/strong>, one of the most prolific entertainers in the history of show business has died \u2026 TMZ has learned.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n We\u2019re told Reiner died Monday night at his Beverly Hills home. \u00a0We\u2019re told his family was with him when he passed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Reiner was a producer. He was also a director. He was also an actor. He was also a Grammy winner. He won 9 Emmys in over 7 decades. He has more than 400 credits.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Where to begin? Well, for all you youngins\u2019 \u2026 you may have caught Carl in \u201cToy Story 4.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n For most people \u2026 they remember Carl best for \u201cThe Dick Van Dyke Show,\u201d which he created and starred in. Carl played the role of a very temperamental comedian \u2014 Alan Brady \u2014 who terrorized Dick Van Dyke<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s character and the other writers. Oh, and there was this new actress Carl cast for Dick\u2019s wife \u2014 Mary Tyler Moore<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n Carl made a best-selling album with Mel Brooks<\/strong><\/a> called \u201c2000 Years with Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks\u201d which earned a Grammy nomination and sparked his writing career.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n There were other smash hits, including directing \u201cOh God\u201d with George Burns<\/strong> and \u201cThe Jerk\u201d with Steve Martin<\/strong><\/a>.
