The pay is good, and it offers projects to writers in a variety of countries. It also has a star rating system that determines pricing.<\/p>\n UpWork, like Textbroker, allows you to make money writing.<\/p>\n But it works in a slightly different way.<\/p>\n While Textbroker has a pool of articles from multiple clients that writers can choose from, UpWork allows writers to work with clients directly.<\/p>\n This can often result in higher rates.<\/p>\n Notice I said often. <\/em>There\u2019s a lot of dross on UpWork you have to weed through before you\u2019ll find something that pays fairly.<\/p>\n I would recommend having a look on the site because you can find clients that you can develop a great relationship with and work with for years to come. Those opportunities aren\u2019t really available to writers on sites like Textbroker and Writer\u2019s Access.<\/p>\n With Upwork, you browse job openings and then bid on the ones you\u2019re interested in. There are also fixed rate jobs, so if you prefer to get paid per post or per word this is ideal. And, there are jobs that pay hourly<\/a> available on there too.<\/p>\n The client may have a budget in mind, but you get to set your own rates which is great.<\/p>\n The only downside to UpWork is that it charges service fees. Years ago, these weren\u2019t too bad. But now they really punish new writers.<\/p>\n You\u2019re charged 20% for the first $500 billed with a client \u2013 that\u2019s not ideal. It does improve though the more you work with a client.<\/p>\n Once you\u2019ve earned $500, you\u2019ll only be charged 10% of your earnings, and once lifetime billings with the client exceed $10,000, you\u2019re only charged a 5% fee.<\/p>\n So it really benefits you if you can get recurring work with one client.<\/p>\n Although it specifies the above countries, WritersDomain also says it needs content writers for multiple languages. So you could work with the site, even if you\u2019re not from the above countries.<\/p>\n You get paid to write a wide range of content for clients.<\/p>\n It\u2019s another site that assigns writers a rating that affects how much money they make.<\/p>\n PeoplePerHour is a good site for freelance writers, because it pays quickly, and you can set your own rates. Like with UpWork, you apply for jobs posted by clients. Clients can set a budget and you can set your rate for projects. My husband has used the site as a designer with great success and it\u2019s just as good for writers.<\/p>\n Like UpWork, PeoplePerHour does charge service fees that are between 3.5% and 20%, depending on how much you\u2019ve earned with a client.<\/p>\n If you can write at least 1,000 words a week, give BKA content a try.<\/p>\n It\u2019s looking for article writers. The content you create is on a variety of different search terms, topics and keywords provided by the client. Basically, the site is focused on creating SEO content that helps clients to improve their search engine rankings.<\/p>\n Scripted differs from some of the other places on the list. It\u2019s like UpWork in that it pairs writers with clients looking for content.<\/p>\n You can propose jobs directly to customers, and there are new projects available every day. There\u2019s a wide range of project topics available.<\/p>\n Constant Content is an interesting site. Basically, you put your articles up for sale on there.<\/p>\n There are also orders posted on there that writers can fulfill. The main focus though is on selling your articles<\/a>.<\/p>\n I used Constant Content years back, and I sold a couple of my articles. You can set your own prices and you keep 65% of the sale price.<\/p>\n The only problem is that there\u2019s no guarantee that your articles will actually sell. So, it\u2019s more of something you set up and leave to work in the background while you pick up writing work that pays elsewhere.<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t mind the risk of your content not selling, give it a try. Since you get to set your own prices, and the site encourages fair prices, you can make a decent amount of cash when you do sell an article.<\/p>\n Since many sites only hire people from countries where English is the native language, it can be tough to get started with writing when you\u2019re not from a country like the United States or the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n If that\u2019s the case for you, then you may want to give iWriter a try. It hires from places where English is not the native language, like Asia and South America.<\/p>\n Writers are paid 65% of the price of each article.
